ORDINANCE NO. 2022-184
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE USE OF SINGLE-USE PLASTICS IN ALL COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS
SECTION 1. Title. — This Ordinance shall be known as the “Cebu City Single-Use Plastic Regulation Ordinance of 2022.”
SECTION 2. Declaration of Policy. — It is hereby declared the policy of the City Government of Cebu to protect and advance the right of the people to a balanced and healthful ecology, promote sustainable consumption, and reduce plastic pollution in accordance with Republic Act No. 9003 and related environmental laws.
SECTION 3. Definition of Terms. — For purposes of this Ordinance, the following terms shall mean those definitions adopted under applicable national environmental regulations.
SECTION 4. Prohibited Acts. — The manufacture, sale, distribution, and use of single-use plastic products enumerated herein within the territorial jurisdiction of Cebu City are hereby regulated and progressively prohibited.
